Cabin Fever Vacations Smokey Mountains

This is the view I got to see every morning I was in Pigeon Forge while attending #Brandcation. I always considered myself to be an ocean girl who married a mountain boy, but after spending 3 nights in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee in this Cabin Fever Vacations luxury cabin I may have been converted. Truly this is an amazing set of cabins way up in the Smokies. And smokey they were, our last morning there, each mountain top was tipped in the fog and clouds that give the Smokey Mountains their name. It really was a breath taking view – and an extreme ride up the mountain side to our cabin. We had a lot of fun on that winding road.

Our cabin was big enough to sleep all 34 bloggers attending #Brandcation. There were 8 bedrooms, 3 large bunk beds, and several futons. The cabin came equipped with a hot tub, pool table, Pac Man machine, plus 2 refrigerators! (This came in handy with 34 people around.) Although we didn’t spend a ton of time there, because we were out having a great time in Pigeon Forge, we did get great use out of our cabin. We congregated for morning and before bed announcements, the all important (and sometimes life saving) morning coffee, and our enormously fun 80’s Party where I dressed up like the punk rocker I was in college. Sshh, yes I am THAT old.

“Cabin Fever Vacations offers over 200 economy to luxury Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg cabins for guests vising the Smokies. Secluded honeymoon cabins with romantic mountain views, family reunion cabins, and log cabin resorts with swimming pools.”

I loved the areas so much (and some of the other exciting things I’m going to tell you about in later posts) that I was thinking our extended family may wish to join us in Pigeon Forge for our summer vacation. I will be checking with Cabin Fever Vacations to find the right Pigeon Forge cabin for our stay.

#Brandcation 80’s Style

I’m totally excited to be heading to my second #Brandcation (Brandcation) in the Tennessee mountains. One of the cool things they are planning for us is a great 80’s party. Much to my parents horror I was a total punker in the 80’s, with my jet black hair, pale skin, combat boots, and my ankh necklace. I wore so much black that one day, when my dad came to visit me at college he had to ask me “When did you change your major to mortuary science?” Needless to say they didn’t like the look. But I’m totally hoping to recreate my HS and early college attire for this occasion. Here is what I was thinking.

This is mostly what I wore every single day my freshman year in college. Some people totally loved it, while most did not. Anyway, I still have boots similar to this and I think I can recreate it pretty well. Can’t wait to hang out with my follow bloggers, listen to some great 80’s tunes – yes there were great 80’s tunes, and enjoy the amazing Tennessee Mountains!

I’m Heading To Brandcation (Again)

Yes, I’m doing it again. I’m heading to Brandcation (#Brandcation). That fabulous blogging conference that is super intimate, changes location each time, and is a great experience. I can’t wait to go this time, as we are heading out to Pigeon Forge, TN and are going to be experiencing some awesome attractions. We will be staying with Cabin Fever Vacations in an amazing “Cabin” that can hold all 32 of us, outfitted with hot tubs and floor to ceiling windows to view the beautiful mountains. And of course we have to spend some time with Dolly at Dollywood! But our adventure doesn’t stop there, we will also have fun at the Titanic Museum, Country Tonight and the Dixie Stampede. Finally we get to go zip lining AGAIN, this time with Climbworks! I’m beyond stoked for that.
