VTech Kid Connect and Innotab 3S Giveaway
Disclosure: I was provided by VTech with a subscription to Premium Kid Connect to facilitate this review. VTech is supplying the Innotab 3S for the giveaway.
I recently told you about the cool VTech Innotab 3S that my boys have really been enjoying, but now that tablet has become even cooler. We finally installed the VTech Kid Connect which allows my boys can send me text messages from their Innotab 3S directly to my mobile phone anytime and anywhere. To me the beauty of this is that we are on a safe and secure system that only allows them to text approved devices. No chance of them texting the wrong person, or more importantly have a stranger text them! And although we don’t have a second InnoTab 3S, if we did, our kids could safely text message each other directly. I think it would be fun if my in-laws were to get an Innotab 3S for our niece and nephew so my sons could stay in touch with their cousins, whom they love dearly. I know hijinx would ensue as soon as those 5 got a hold of Kid Connect. They would be talking to each other every chance they got. Which for us would be a wonderful relationship builder.
As the mom of a child with autism, I know how important it is to build connections between my child and other kids. With Kid Connect my boys can talk to friends, each other, and me and my husband in a very safe environment. They still get the thrill of using an electronic device, and I get the piece of mind that we know exactly who they are communicating with. Such a win-win situation!
VTech Kid Connect app is available through the Apple App Store and Google Play, and the Innotab 3S comes with a one years subscription to Basic Kid Connect. We got a chance to try out the Premium Kid Connect subscription and it is super fun! My boys have really enjoyed sending me voice message, photos and drawings. I have actually loved sending drawings back to them, but I think they like getting the voice messages the best. For the first two weeks after registration of your InnoTab 3S, a Deluxe Apps package with Premium Kid Connect is available for $14.99. The package also includes Movie Maker (a $7.99 value), a stop-motion animation app that lets kids become movie directors. Once the two week promotional period is over, Premium Kid Connect can be purchased separately for $14.99.

GIVEAWAY
The Children’s Place $500 Gift Card Giveaway
Disclosure: This giveaway has been sponsored by The Children’s Place and hosted by Kidsumers. I have not been compensated and all opinions are my own.
What boy wouldn’t look amazing in this cute and sophisticated school uniform from The Children’s Place? I love the simple classic styling and even though my boys don’t have to wear a uniform I still find this to be a great option. I have several friends that have children that always look put together and polished. I know for a fact that these children dress in a “uniform” the mom has picked out for them.
When I was growing up, I went to a school that required a uniform and mine was never this cute. I would have loved to wear a flattering outfit that fit the schools requirements yet still allowed me to look perfectly polished.
This outfit would have been perfect. Today The Children’s Place wants to make your children’s back-to-school uniform shopping a snap with really adorable and affordable school-wear. They are also offering a chance to win a $500 The Children’s Place Gift Certificate so one lucky winner can go on a back-to-school-uniform-shopping-spree! I know I will be shopping at The Children’s Place to pick up classic outfits for the boys so that they can look pulled together and always appropriate.
If you have a child that does wear a uniform, what better place than The Children’s Place, to pick up all the essentials that make uniform dressing so easy. All you need now is an entry into the contest and maybe a cute pair of saddle shoes!

Kiwi Crate Review
Disclosure: I received a Kiwi Crate to help facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.
It is funny, I consider myself a fairly creative person, but when it comes to coming up with ideas for things to do with my kids I’m a blank slate. I can’t seem to think up fun and interesting ideas to save my life, or their day. I’m B-O-R-I-N-G. That is where Kiwi Crate comes in. Kiwi Crates are boxes that are delivered right to your door, and they are filled with fun, creative themed ‘crafts’. The crate I had a chance to review was all about percussion instruments and it had two build-it-yourself crafts to keep the kids busy while introducing them to music making. First we got to make hand/foot bells. It was a great little craft that worked through a creative outlet. My youngest son, Lorenzo, helped me make them one day and I was amazed by how much he could do and understand. We needed to decorate our wooden beads which allowed him to show his artistic side (which he gets from me!), then we strung the beads and bells onto elastic band which was provided with our Kiwi Crate. Finally Lorenzo had a chance to make some noise! And he completely enjoyed making that melodic noise all through the house.
The second DIY craft in our Kiwi Crate was a homemade xylophone. Kiwi Crate provided us with all the materials, we simply had to put it together. I really liked this xylophone and while Lorenzo was playing the bells I accompanied him on the xylophone.
Kiwi Crate also included instructions on how to make 6 additional homemade instruments. Kiwi Crate offers several different plans, the one time crate, the 3 months of Kiwi Crates, the 6 months of Kiwi Crates and the full 12 months of Kiwi Crates. I think these would be a great gift for family that lives far away. Or for a parent or grandparent like me that is creatively challenged. It would also be fabulous for the upcoming summer months. Get one for each kid and let them have a bast each month this summer. Make sure you connect with Kiwi Crate on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.
