Win Your Way with Shop Your Way

Every Christmas my brother-in-law asks for something from Sears. He loves Craftsman tools and they are often on his list and his kids always need school clothes. So I often find myself doing a lot of shopping at Sears. This year I decided to join Shop Your Way to earn reward points. I can earn 10 reward points for every dollar I spend at Sears or online with Sears. Then I can take those points and put them to use whenever and however I want. That means I can use as few or as many of my points towards any of my purchases, even if I just earned those points.

But what I really like about Shop Your Way is their fun feature Win Your Way. With Win Your Way you can win Shop Your Way Reward Points, Exclusive Merchandise, Trips, Digital Awards and Products. You have to be a Shop Your Way Bonus Member (no purchase necessary) to participate in Win Your Way, but that is as simple as giving a valid email address.

Entering Win Your Way Sweepstakes is easy. Choose which sweepstakes you want to enter, read the directions and click the Get Started Now button. I have entered a few Win Your Way Sweepstakes already, but I haven’t won any yet. Some Win Your Way Sweepstakes ask for your opinions through polls, others ask you to rate products, while others ask you to find products you want and add them to your “wish list” for other shoppers to view.  Shop Your Way is a fun social shopping platform where you can check out what others shoppers are interested in and what is trending at the moment.

I’m interested in entering the What’s For Dinner Sweepstake where I would be entered to win a new premium cooktop! Or the Keeping Up Appearances Sweepstake where I could win a $50 gift certificate to be used on the Kardashian Kollection™ at Sears. This one would be wonderful for me to win since I need a new outfit for my husband’s office holiday party.

I know I’ll be using Shop Your Way and Win Your Way to help stretch my holiday budget, and maybe to even win a few fun items for myself. Are you going to try Shop Your Way and Win Your Way?

You can keep up with Shop Your Way on Twitter at @ShopYourWay #WinYourWay. No purchase necessary. See http://bit.ly/RdfB8K for details.

This is a sponsored post with http://brandfluential.com, I am a Win Your Way blogger, though all opinions are my own.

Talenti Gelato Review: Sea Salt Caramel and Other Flavors

I don’t know about you but cold weather has never stopped me from wanting ice cream. As a matter of fact give me a good snow storm and I can pretty much guarantee I will want to go to the store for a pint (or 3).

The first time I saw Talenti Gelato at the store, I was actually perusing another brand of ice cream, but there it was subtly tempting me with it’s clear container and seductive name. I had to purchase the Sea Salt Caramel flavor for myself and the Banana Chocolate Swirl for my husband. When I got home I tempted my hubby with his new flavor and we both decided to dig into our pints.

I really like how easy it is to open a pint of Talenti because they use a convenient screw on top. But that ease of use may make it a little too easy to get in there, and consume that whole pint in one sitting. Nooo, I have never done that before. Honest.

The Sea Salt Caramel was even more than I expected. The ice cream is so soft and velvety that is feels and tastes as if you really are eating a spoonful of the softest caramel dusted with the palate brightener, sea salt. But it doesn’t end there, although it very successfully could. Instead Talenti has studded this ice cream with tiny caramel filled chocolates. It is magical. I adore this ice cream and although it isn’t dairy free, it is gluten free, and would make a delicious and satisfying holiday dessert.

I have also enjoyed, sometimes a little too much, the Mediterranean Mint which is a cool green mint spiked with chunks of dark chocolate. Again it is super creamy and just perfectly minty. My husband loves the Banana Chocolate Swirl and Caramel Cookie Crunch.  Recently we found Caribbean Coconut at another store and I have been on the lookout for the Blood Orange because I adore real blood oranges which are typically available around Christmastime.

Talenti Gelato has fast become our favorite ice cream. Now if they only make me  a Tiramisu or Egg Nog flavor I may never fit into my skinny jeans again. Bliss.

I was given coupons to experience four pints of Talenti Gelato at no expense to myself. All opinions are my own.

A Perfect Paleo Thanksgiving Review and Giveaway

As many of you know my family is gluten free (most of the time) and also dairy free (again most of the time), but recently I have been toying with the idea of really making a switch over to Paleo eating. Being on a Paleo diet means you eat like our hunter-gather ancestors ate and avoid things such as sugar, grains, legumes and dairy. We know for sure that Matthew has an intolerance to gluten and we think dairy causes issues too. My husband and our middle son both have problems with dairy, and with each of my pregnancies it was apparent I had glucose intolerance, so a Paleo diet seems right up my alley.

Brianna of Flippin Delicious has co-authored a book called A Perfect Paleo Thanksgiving and it has some really easy, yet scrumptious looking Paleo recipes just in time for the Holiday Season. And even though you aren’t supposed to have refined sugar, she does include dessert recipes. The one that got my attention is the crustless pecan pie. I was just saying the other day that I wanted pecan pie, and here is a gluten free and dairy free pecan pie just in time for Thanksgiving. Were my prayers answered or what?

The Trash Pack Review

photo provided by The Trash Pack

Who would have thought that a little orange plastic trash can could bring so much joy to 3 little boys!? When I was at Brandcation I got 3 small bags to give to the boys when I got home. Little did I know they contained The Trash Pack and that these Trash Packs would become such a big part of my life. Immediately my boys feel in love with these dirty, trashy creatures and a bond was formed.

I love anything that gets them excited and gets them to use their imaginations. And The Trash Pack gives them one more thing that they can talk to their friends about. Since autism often leaves a child not knowing how to relate to other kids, I love it when they find something that gives them a natural topic and that they are interested in, just like their friends. My boys have put the Street Sweeper and the Garbage Truck on their Christmas lists. Thank goodness they haven’t found out about the liquid ooze pack. That might just be mom’s limit!  But I do kind of love these little Trash Pack guys. They are sort of gross, but what boy doesn’t love gross? They come in small packages, and what kid doesn’t love little things like themselves? And now we are seeing them all over TV. Kinda cool.

The Trash Pack can be found at Walmart, Toys R Us, Walgreens, Five Below, Kmart and Target. They come in individual packs and multi-packs. I suggest a multi-pack, myself. My personal favorite is Scummy Mummy from the Bin Monsters collection. Which one is yours?
