No One is Perfect

So this is my day to admit we are not perfect eaters, and we are really showing our imperfections today. Not only are we going to a birthday party later, where the boys will consume gluten free pizza and Gluten Free chocolate cupcakes with strawberry icing. But I had nothing for breakfast. Nothing!

We had breakfast for dinner last night because I’m struggling with food again, so I didn’t want to serve pancakes and sausage again this morning. And only one of the boys will eat eggs regularly. The same one that eats eggs will eat cereal, but not the others, plus I’m not a big cereal as nutrition fan so we don’t keep much around. So I went digging in the freezer and dug out some Gluten Free donuts! Yes, I said donuts.

I’m hanging my head in shame, but I did give them donuts this morning. Ah, we are not perfect, but we do try.

Stay well.

aww we all go thru patches, but I'm sure you'll make up for it with healthy items the rest of the weekend.

I think everyone has their ups-and-downs. With the birthday party- I'm sure they'll be extra active so that will help. I've been struggling with this too, but I do think it's okay to treat yourself once in awhile. If you completely knock out all the bad stuff, you're not going to stick to your plan. I guess it's all about moderation!

  3. It is incredibly hard to eat perfect all of the time. We all have food weaknesses that can hard to overcome and times when we just don't have the energy. You're doing a fine job 🙂

Perfection is too high of a goal for me to achieve. It was when I lowered my expectations a bit that I could relax and be happy 😉

  5. I can relate. We are the same way around here sometimes. It is hard to be 100% all of the time. We all slip from time to time and there is nothing wrong with that. Stay well!

  6. You're definitely not the only one that does this from time to time. 😀 It actually sounds pretty good to me!

  7. You can get blood tests done by your doctor and you might get an epdnscooy done after that. It is still possible to test negative to celiac disease and then go gluten free and find out some symptoms clear up. But get tested first. If your children are eating GFCF, it is just as easy to eat the same foods as them anyway. I have been GF for over 5 years and there are very few foods that can’t be made GF that taste as good or better than the gluten containing version.
