6. Metal Free – a natural, mild chelator which has helped Matthew get rid of his metals. Now he is more focused.
5. DMG – this made significant cognitive gains for Matthew. It is hard to describe if you don’t witness it, but he became more clear and focused in thought.
4. Cod Liver Oil – Not only are both of my sons crazy about this stuff and take it right off the spoon, but after introducing this, Matthew started making better eye contact.
3. Acidophilus and other probiotics – when we started good health-food store acidophilus Matthew stopped biting and when we added other probiotics his digestive tract started to improve and he became potty trained.
2. Zinc – We saw the greatest cognitive gains just by adding zinc to his nighttime rituals.
1. The Gluten Free/Casein Free Diet – it is what started his recovery and for that it will always hold a very special place in my heart. He also stopped most of his stimming when dairy was removed.
There are many other therapies that we use and they all have made improvements for Matthew, but these are my favorites because they have really brought my baby out of that Autism fog he used to live in.
