Bakery on Main truebar

If you are anything like me, and I’m guessing you are, you are probably on the run and busy. Often I’m late to eat and I don’t feel good if I miss a meal. So I’ve taken to carrying a snack in my purse or car, but being gluten free can limit what kind of snacks I can keep around. I enjoy a bag of raisins and nuts, but that can become stale if not eaten quickly. Well I just found truebar by Bakery on Main. Nothing stale about them!

I was interested in Bakery on Main because they are not only gluten free but they are also non-GMO! Which is super important to me. And it is important to them, so important that they are now “Non-GMO Project Verified” by the Non-GMO Project,  which is a non-profit organization offering North America’s only third party verification for Non-GMO foods and products.

Bakery on Main sent me six of their new truebars, hazelnut chocolate cherry, fruit and nut, raspberry chocolate almond, coconut cashew, apricot almond chai and my favorite, walnut cappuccino. The bars are chewy, crunchy, sticky; all in a great way. They are fully of yummy ingredients like nuts, chocolate and chia seeds. They are gluten, dairy and casein free which makes them perfect for keeping on hand for the boys too. I really enjoyed them and am planning on taking them on my next trip just in case I can’t get breakfast in time.

What made me realize that both Bakery on Main and truebars are special, beyond the great taste, is the fantastic back story. Michael Smulders started Bakery on Main after listening to his Celiac customers complain about the taste of the gluten free options available to them, and made it his mission to create products that were not only gluten free, but we’re also great tasting.

You can find them at www.bakeryonmain.com, like them on Facebook or follow them on Twitter @bakeryonmain.

Bakery on Main provided me with the products to review, free of charge. All opinions are my own.
