TUPPERWARE’S CHAIN OF CONFIDENCE CHALLENGE, A PAY-IT-FORWARD CONTEST
Share your story of inspiration, nominate a friend who has empowered you to be more confident
07.07.2009 – Tupperware is proud to kick-off the Chain of Confidence Challenge, a ‘pay-it-forward’ contest which invites you to share your story of inspiration on ChainofConfidence.com by nominating a friend, relative, or member of the Tupperware community, who has empowered you through an act of kindness. Three winners will receive $5,000 to donate to the charity of their choice.
The Chain of Confidence challenge is part of a larger global campaign celebrating the powerful bonds of female friendships and the rewards that come with self-confidence. Through Chain of Confidence and partnerships with likeminded organizations around the world, Tupperware continues to build on its 60-year commitment to enlighten, educate and empower women.
As part of Chain of Confidence, Tupperware re-established the SMART Girls program at the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, with a donation of over $1.5 million dollars. This program is dedicated to promoting confidence and healthy lifestyles for young girls, and ensures the next generation of women is given the same chance at confidence.
ABOUT THE CHAIN OF CONFIDENCE CHALLENGE
The Chain of Confidence Challenge kicks off on May 14 and runs through August 14. You can enter two categories:
(1) How has a Friend/Relative inspired you through their acts of kindness?
(2)How has a Tupperware Consultant/Director inspired you through their acts of kindness?
TO ENTER – Visit ChainofConfidence.com and submit an essay about how your friend, relative or fellow Tupperware Consultant (“nominee”) has inspired you in 1,500 characters or less. You may also submit with your entry, optional photograph(s) of your nominee only and/or an optional video depicting your entry.
WINNERS – Three winners will be announced, one for each category and one ‘Viewers Choice’ winner will be chosen by votes on ChainofConfidence.com. A $5000 donation will be given in each winner’s name to a selected charity. Each winning pair (nominator and nominee) receives a Tupperware gift card valued at $1,000.

CAMP CONFIDENCE
In 2008, Tupperware launched Camp Confidence, a virtual camp on ChainofConfidence.com, which
offers women around the world a confidence boost through a panel of experts, or “Confidence Counselors,” who provide tips and advice in key life areas of relationships, finances, beauty, etiquette and cooking.
SPREADING CONFIDENCE WORLDWIDE
The Tupperware Brands international community is participating in the Chain of Confidence movement by partnering with organizations around the world that better the lives of women and children through confidence building. Currently, Indonesia, Uruguay, Venezuela, Brazil, India, Germany, France and the Philippines are implementing Tupperware’s Chain of Confidence and supporting local charities; and the number of countries embracing the campaign continues to grow. In North America, Tupperware supports the Boys and Girls Clubs of America’s SMART Girls program and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada’s Take It E.A.S.Y, both of which promote healthy lifestyles and confidence in young girls.
The Tupperware Brands Community has already embraced the campaign in a number of countries around the world including:
• India’s partnership with Literacy India improves women’s education and healthcare, and the Women of This Land Program in Uruguay teaches families healthy eating habits.
• In North America, Tupperware partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s SMART Girls program and Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada’s Take It E.A.S.Y. program, which guide young girls to make smart choices. Similarly, Tupperware Germany will partner with PerspektivFabrikt to help children and adolescents develop life skills.
• Tupperware CIS, UNICEF & Nastenka Foundation partnered to help families in trying times, and provide a supportive network for women and girls. Tupperware France & Fondation Coeur et Artères France will take a leadership role in the effort to fight heart disease in women.
• Tupperware Mexico’s Mujeres por las Mujeres initiative and Fundación Origen, offers sales force members professional counsel on domestic, legal and health-related issues. Tupperware & Fuller Brazil will partner with Fundação Abrinq as well, to assist in youth related issues.
