In a large pot bring the water and sugar to a boil.
Add the cranberries and return to boil.
Simmer the cranberries for 10 minutes.
Pour into a bowl and allow to cool.
Store in refrigerator to chill.
Serve.
You can also can the sauce while it is hot.
